Mr Thil serves as Vice President Digital Innovation at SIA, bringing to the job a proven track record of entrepreneurship and innovation spanning both start-ups and multinational organisations in Europe and Asia.
He was CEO of a number of start-up firms, which he founded, grew and ultimately sold to companies like France Telecom/Orange and Travelport. In 2006, Jerome founded Sprice.com, the first major Travel Meta Search website in Southeast Asia and India, which became Travelport’s hotel aggregation platform in 2010.
While being CEO of Sprice, he was appointed Vice President Innovation for Travelport in 2013. He joined Wildfire in Shanghai in 2015 as its CEO & President, growing the Big Data business in China before selling off the company to an Internet major.
Most recently, he served at Amadeus and Sabre, driving product innovation, marketing and digital transformation at the GDS (global distribution system) leaders.
As Vice President Digital Innovation, Mr Thil’s key responsibility will be to drive and implement the Company’s digital innovation blueprint aimed at making SIA the world’s leading digital airline.

Peter Pohlschmidt is the head of the digital department at Malaysia Airlines at a pivotal moment to help turnaround the business to be a profitable and stock-listed airline by 2019. Digital @ Malaysia Airlines encompasses the entire digital customer journey, including e-solutions, digital marketing and merchandising, innovation and digital transformation and a newly established data sciences unit. He has spent nearly 20 years in e-commerce and online travel. Having started with Microsoft MSN and Expedia in Germany, he was part of launching two online travel agencies, Opodo in Europe and Zuji in Asia. He then headed off for 10 years to the Middle East, starting-up the e-commerce department for Qatar Airways before taking up the role with Malaysia Airlines.

Vinod currently oversees commercial at Scoot – this involves areas such as Sales, Marketing, products & ancillaries, Revenue Management, Route Planning and Customer Service. The Scoot commercial team has launched a number of initiatives in the recent past to leverage technology to improve efficiencies and elevate the top-line, e.g. : launch of a transactional chatbot on the FB messenger platform, implementation of a customer satisfaction measurement tool, implementation of more payment channels like WeChat etc.
Before his appointment to Scoot, Mr Kannan was Vice President Network Planning at Singapore Airlines, responsible for strategising the airline’s long-term growth plans and fleet deployment. Prior to that, Mr Kannan held General Manager roles in Indonesia, Italy and the Middle East. He was also posted to Kolkata in India, as Manager Eastern India, and held various commercial roles in head office before that.

Spencer oversees the entire Commercial function of AirAsia's Malaysia operations covering 11 departments including marketing and advertising, sales and distribution, digital, financial partners, mobile and loyalty. Spencer helped to set up the Ancillary Income department responsible for devising and managing the pricing of ancillary products, which contributes 21% of revenue annually. He also spearheaded key projects at AirAsia, such as, AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme, Citibank co-brand credit card, CIMB-AirAsia savers account, AirAsia BIG Prepaid Mastercard to name a few. He emphasises the importance of utilising digital platforms and strategies to take the business a step further to meet today’s challenging industry standards. Being an e-commerce business, AirAsia depends a lot on online user traffic; hence he ensures that the entire commercial team and all touch points are fronted digitally. He also championed collaboration with Google’s Ignite Program to welcome young talents into AirAsia.
During his time at AirAsia, Spencer has won several industry accolades for his work. These include awards for Best Asean Marketing and Promotional Campaign, Best Asean Airline Programme from the Asean Tourism Association (ASEANTA), Best Use of Out-Of-Home and Best Use of Activations/Events at the Malaysia Media Awards.
He is also a member of the Malaysian Advertisers Association, a board member of the Audit Bureau of Circulation (Malaysia) and member of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA).

Candice has been instrumental in Cebu Pacific’s digital evolution, from being the first airline in the Philippines to introduce e-ticketing in 2003, to establishing Cebu Pacific’s social media platforms back in 2009, to introducing online self-service channels to cater to 20 million passengers yearly. She was also the driving force in consolidating all customer care touchpoints into one team, which brought forth the launch of the first 24/7 customer command center by a low-cost carrier in Asia in 2017. She continues to drive digital transformation initiatives within the airline, as it serves as the pioneering business unit within the JG Summit conglomerate.
In 2007, she successfully launched the low cost airline’s “Go Fares” or year-round low fares, and the airline’s re-fleeting campaign. She was recognized by Mansmith and Fielders as a Young Market Masters Awardee for Service Marketing.
Prior to joining the airline, she served as the General Manager of Jobstreet.com Philippines, Inc. which brought the company to a No. 1 position in the Online Recruitment Solutions industry. In 1997, she was the Marketing Manager for Nabisco Philippines, Inc., where she spearheaded the company’s research for Philippine Biscuit Market Segmentation and successfully launched regionally sourced Nabisco Global brands, significantly growing segment value shares and profits. Her experience also encompasses Brand Management, as she was appointed Brand Manager for various food products of Universal Robina Corporation (URC), which is the Philippines’ leading branded convenience food and beverage company and one of the companies under the JG Summit conglomerate.

Mr. Xuewu(Shawn) Wang is the founder of MU Data Labs at China Eastern Airlines. From 2009 to 2015, he successfully built the core business intelligence platform and the data warehouse for China Eastern Airlines, China Cargo Airlines and China Eastern Logistic. Mr. Wang focuses on data strategy, data governance, big data, machine learning, Natural Language Processing and AI. With more than 22 years of experience within the travel industry, Shane recently occupied the role of Vice President, Global Group and Emerging Sales Platforms at Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Prior to this role Shane held several other senior leadership roles at Starwood Hotels & Resorts leading teams that developed global strategies in the corporate, leisure, online and distribution connectivity segments. Prior to these global leadership positions, Shane spent 17 years of his career leading sales and marketing teams at various Starwood properties throughout the world.

David Spooner joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts in August 2016 as Executive Vice President for Development in Asia Pacific.
