Aditya Agarwal

Aditya Agarwal is the CFO, Head of Corporate Development and Analytics at Cleartrip, India’s fastest-growing online travel portal. In his pivotal role at the company, Aditya has end-to-end ownership of business finance, finance operations, and FP&A functions. He also spearheads controllership, taxation and treasury functions while leading the Corporate Development / M&A and Analytics verticals.

After completing his B.Com (Hons) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, Aditya pursued an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He spent the next ten years as an investment professional, working within some of the most significant global private equity funds, such as TPG Capital and Standard Chartered Private Equity in Mumbai and Goldman Sachs in London.

After gaining wide exposure to multiple sectors in the investment space, Aditya decided to challenge himself professionally and take on a hands-on corporate role. He took a plunge into the consumer internet sector, which has been witnessing disruptions at a breakneck pace. He joined Cleartrip in 2015 as the Head of Corporate Strategy and has made quite a mark at the company over the past six years.

Throughout his prolific stint at Cleartrip, Aditya has served as the Head of M&A, and Corporate Development functions, including fundraising and investor relations. In 2018, he led Cleartrip’s acquisition of Flyin, the largest online travel company in Saudi Arabia. He led the last three funding rounds in the company and several other inorganic growth initiatives, before taking on the CFO role in 2020 and helping the company navigate through the challenges brought about by the pandemic.

Aditya deeply believes in Cleatrip’s product leadership bolstered by Flipkart’s reach and resources and its potential to become the #1 player. He envisions the platform becoming the industry leader in terms of size, scale, and profitability while maintaining and strengthening the core product and consumer attributes that are characteristic of Cleartrip.
